Supply Chain Analytics
A global power technology MNC brand was facing a major lack of user friendly screens while handling their day to day tasks. Right from managing inventory, asessing delivery tracks to reviewing status of manufacturing dashboards were turning out to be a cumbersome task.
As a designer here, I was handed out the responsibility of designing 5 different tracks in the Supply Chain domain. I did a revamp of their dashboards, introduced some new reports after a detailed discussion with stakeholders, users, product owners and IT leaders.
This is Power BI based, and I also built a design system for the reports that can be followed worldwide across the org., made drastic improvements in their user experience resulting in increase in 90% users being able to analyse the dashboards better.

Problem Discovery
The data is not organised.
No Design System
Too many stakeholders. Too many requirements and hence, the application looks like another excel sheet.
Data analysis is time consuming
Visually, the data is not legible fully. There are hardly any colour/ design standards followed. Too much data everywhere.

Stakeholders that were interviewed
20+ Product owners
20+ Users (at least one user per report)
IT Admins (IT Leaders who lead these projects)
Developers (who were involved in developing these reports initially)
The Process
Due to NDA, the detailed process and insights cannot be shared. I have focussed on highlighting certain outcomes of the project.

Design Highlights
After a detailed analysis and interview sessions with multiple stakeholders, I have come up with this solution over a span of 12 months - for 70+ rpeorts, that solves the issues holistically, elevating the entire user experience.
Global Changes - across all reports

Challenges I faced
Too many stakeholders! Each category has multiple POs, POPM, SC IT team members.
Designing multiple reports at the same time. This was tackled when the Agile process started. When I documented the efforts on Jira.
Sending regular updates. Design is a new field for many and not everyone is aware of the deliverables and time taken for each deliverable. Constantly educate clients on what work is happening and what goes behind each report.
Sometimes the requirements are unclear. As many POs don’t know what to expect for redesign, it becomes challenging to get requirements and make them fixated on a design in a given time frame. There are a lot of delays because of this. Due to this there is no clarity on how much time it takes for a report to be approved. Have multiple trackers to record the same.
